Hello!

My name is Connor Allen. I am a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, GA. 

I have been fascinated by video games as a media ever since I was a kid. They are an amazing blend of almost every other art form you can think of. They are art that the viewer can interact with and experience in a unique and personal way. So many disciplines go into a game from traditional arts like animation and illustration to performing arts, cinematography, architecture, and modeling. They are a movie you perform scene by scene or a book you can write as you turn the pages. With the onset of virtual reality, they are becoming the true final frontier for us to explore.

The first layer of interaction for us to do so is the user interface. It is here that I found my fascination had taken root. When you begin a game, before you even press a button, you are already interacting with the interface. It sets the personality and mood of the game and if it's done poorly, can ruin it. That's why I decided to strive to create memorable experiences for players so that they might discover the same joy that I did.
